UH Library User Authentication

Access to this electronic resource is limited to current University of Houston main campus students, faculty and staff. It is the responsibility of each person to ensure that he or she uses these resources only for individual, noncommercial use without systematically downloading, distributing, or retaining substantial portions of the information provided. Remote access to licensed electronic resources is monitored. Each person is responsible for how his or her Cougar 1Card account is used. If misuse is suspected (e.g., downloading of excessive numbers of files), the account owner may be asked to clarify his or her remote use in order to be able to continue using the University of Houston Libraries' electronic resources. If recorded download levels for a Cougar 1Card account are consistently well in excess of average single-user levels, that account may be suspended indefinitely. A Cougar 1Card account will be suspended immediately if any information regarding that account is discovered on the Internet. Affected users may be given the option to obtain a new Cougar 1Card. Other penalties may apply as outlined in the University policy referred to above.

Providers and the University of Houston Libraries offer these resources on an "as is basis." There are no warranties for completeness or accuracy of the data or the availability of storage and delivery devices. The University of Houston Libraries do not assume and hereby disclaim any liability to any party for any loss or damage resulting from the use of information in licensed resources.
